When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?

By Mother Assumpta Long, O.P.

There is much turmoil in our world today, leading some of the faithful to wonder if our Lord’s return is imminent.  In Luke’s Gospel (18:8), Jesus asks, “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?” This is an important question at our time in history, as many are leaving the Church, and our youth are turning away through indifference or a rejection of our Catholic Faith and its teachings.

The founding of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist was centered on Jesus’ important question. Through prayer and docility, we seek to know God’s will and follow His promptings. Our ultimate aim is the salvation of souls. By God’s grace and abundant generosity, we have been blessed with tremendous growth in vocations and the opportunity to share the Faith with children as well as people of all ages throughout the world. Now, and until the end of time, the Father’s love and the sacrifice of Christ for each person must be taught and proclaimed!
