“We are saddened to announce that after a long and hard fight, Dad passed away yesterday, Saturday May 11th,” writes Allie Webster, Mays’ daughter, on behalf of the family. “We are absolutely devastated that his health took such a sharp turn after things looked so hopeful. Fortunately, Dad passed surrounded by his family.
“Over the last 2.5 weeks, we have greatly appreciated all your prayers, thoughts and endless support. We take solace in knowing that Dad’s strong faith and close relationship with Jesus has taken him to heaven. While we will miss him everyday, we know that he is now watching over us. We will share details for the funeral once they are finalized.”
